Dr Adam Charles ROBERTS
Adam is a postdoctoral researcher in the Interactions with New Technology and Financial Systems module led by Professor Christoph Hoelscher.
Prior to joining the SEC, Adam worked as a Senior Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore where he examined the effect of air quality on cognition (School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering). He has also worked on the human factors of (underground) work environments (School of Civil & Environmental Engineering, NTU) and examined how mispronounced speech is processed in the brain (University of Oxford).
His PhD in Psychology at the University of Sheffield focused on using brain markers of executive function to drive adaptive automation in safety-critical systems.
Research Interest
Adam’s research interests include Human Factors Psychology, Environmental Psychology, Adaptive Automation, Neuroergonomics, and Psycholinguistics.
