Tonggui ZHANG
Tonggui Zhang is a researcher in the Future Resilience Systems (FRS) programme. His current research focuses on the resilience of interconnected infrastructure systems, particularly the coordination of road and water networks.
Before joining FRS, Tonggui was a traffic researcher at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) Asia, focusing on the future transportation infrastructure (Pick-up and Drop-off point) for autonomous vehicle operations. He utilized traffic flow simulation, V2X systems, and data analysis for modeling and analysis. Additionally, he worked as a traffic engineer at Aimsun, a traffic simulation company. He uses AI tools and deep learning to solve urban traffic network problems.
Research Interest
Tonggui's reseacrh interest lie in Interdependency Analysis, Risk and Resilience Assessment, Mixed Traffic Flow Simulation, and Autonomous Transportation Systems.
