Research
Future Resilient Systems (FRS) addresses the challenges of increasing interconnectedness and complexity of infrastructure systems, which provide energy, transport, communication, financial, production, and other essential services to modern societies. It aims to enhance the resilience of urban systems by combining engineering, design and social research.
FRS was established in 2014 and entered its second phase on 1 April 2020. Research topics are currently grouped into 3 clusters:
Cyber Physical Systems Resilience
Sensemaking for Resilience
In addition, new research projects arising from the research at FRS include:
Research topics in FRS phase 1
Energy Systems and Comparative Systems Assessment
Social and Behavioural Factors in Decision Making
Completed Research Projects:
- chevron_right Consumer Energy Usage Data in Smart City Development
- chevron_right Disaster REsilience Assessment, Modelling, and INnovation Singapore (DREAMIN SG)
- chevron_right Estimating Economic Losses from Cascading Infrastructure Disruptions
- chevron_right Resilience Analysis of Hydrogen as a Low-Emission Fuel
