Over 28-29 August, SEC hosted the The Master of Advanced Studies ETH in Management, Technology, and Economics (MAS ETH MTEC) study trip 2023, welcoming a group of 12 working professionals from the MAS MTEC programme at ETH Zurich.

The study trip was designed to expand and deepen participants’ professional skills and expertise, while providing them with an insightful perspective on the economic, social, and cultural world of Singapore. During the first one and a half days, the participants were given a detailed overview of SEC’s core research programmes, including Future Resilient Systems (FRS), Future Cities Laboratory Global (FCL G) and Future Health Technologies (FHT). They gained valuable insights into the center's commitment to pioneering research in resilience, sustainability, and health.

Another summer practice team comprising 16 graduate students from Tsinghua University's Department of Electronic Engineering also joined the session in the morning of the first day, fostering cross-disciplinary discussions and the exchange of fresh insights. On the afternoon of the second day, led by FRS, the participants visited the Singapore City Gallery at the Urban Redevelopment Authority, which showcases Singapore’s dramatic transformation over the past 50 years through interactive and immersive exhibits.
