Speaker: Dr Adam Charles Roberts

Webinar Abstract:

Mobile wallets, also known as e-wallets or digital wallets, are becoming increasingly popular as they allow payments to be fast, convenient and simple. However, their use can have positive and negative effects on financial resilience, for example, they can improve financial inclusion, but they may increase the risk of cybersecurity threats. In this talk, we will explore the interplay between attitudes towards using mobile wallets and financial resilience, drawing on user survey data from two countries where mobile wallet use is common, Switzerland and Singapore.
